Hoian, World Heritage

At the end of the last XV, there were few inhabitants such as farmers and fishermen in this modest village.

With strategical location in the center of the country, on banks of the Thu Bon River, Hoian was chosen to become an important commercial port by Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese, French and Chinese merchants to do business, exchange cargo and stopover en route before reaching its further destinations. After 500 years, the image of the small fishing village has been changed little but still keep its traditional architecture, typical daily life of its inhabitants.
